[ If Grell had expected William to be oblivious to her activities, she was sorely mistaken. He'd come from his office multiple times that day, looking to have a word with her about proper office behaviour, timely submission of forms, and the coffee carafe from the break room, that she'd happily emptied but failed to refill. Each time, he'd been met with an empty desk, even though he'd seen her minutes before. And when questioned, Knox just brushed him off like it was no big deal - he'd finished his own work for the day and wasn't staying overtime, big plans for the evening and all that.

So, the next time William caught a glance of bright red slinking past the frosted windows of his office, he made an executive decision - quickly teleporting himself in the doorway of the office, appearing just before she attempted to leave... ]

[ Such draws a sharp breath from the redhead. This single moment is something she's waited a century for, and happiness swells in her heart so greatly that she suspects it might burst! All the same, she'll willingly succumb to such a fate, for she can't be bothered to care for anything but this.

With fluttering lashes, Grell is melting into his kiss, hand raised to cup his cheek. ]

[ As it isn't quite appropriate to get overly intimate in public, William only allows the kiss to last a moment longer. He straightens up after, taking the hand that had settled upon his cheek into his own hand, instead. ]

[ As their lips part, Grell's eyes remain closed for just a moment longer, chest rising and falling with a dreamy sigh. Those words certainly catch her attention with yet more surprise, though - and when she raises her gaze to meet his, she only laces her fingers with his. Goodness, her eyes may even be a bit misty. ]

[ He sounds much less upset about that fact than he normally would have. ]

[ That earns a lopsided smile. Meanwhile, Rosalind has finally noticed that Grell is wearing unusual gloves, of which she investigates by gnawing at! Her mother doesn't even bat a lash at this. ]

[ He tightens his grip on her hand. ]

Not to say I will ever completely feel right again, but I don't think any of us have that capability.

[ With a tilt of the head, Grell hums - then closing her eyes with a decisive shake. ]

With time, I hope you should. Personally, this is the happiest I've ever been.

[ He both understands and his baffled by the claim. Mainly surprised that he can manage to make someone so happy. ]

[ It's an odd thing to see, as William typically exudes confidence when he's around her! A trait that she's always though to be especially attractive.

But this-- well, it's a bit endearing, too. After all, love is about sharing and accepting weakness, along with strength, right?

Chuckling, she nods as though it's the simplest thing! ]

That's right. I've nearly everything that I have dreamed for, right here! The rest, I'm sure, will come in time.

[ With a content hum, William leans back in his chair, urging Grell to do the same, as he keeps their hands clasped. ]

Considering we have an eternity for that to happen, you may very well be right.

Mn, if not for this - [ She says, giving his hand a fond squeeze. ] - that might sound daunting. Rather, I look forward to it.

[ Grell can't lean back too very much, thanks to her corset, but she relaxes as much as is possible! While she's at it, she settles Rosalind more comfortably into the crook of her arm, and picks up her pacifier for the baby to take. ]

You know, you really ought to make a bucket list for yourself, now. Perhaps start with wishes you made during your mortal life, but never saw through, mn? There must be at least one.

Hm. Perhaps some more traveling.

[ He'd suggest some other European cities, but they should prob stay away for a bit. ]

Some where Tropical? It would be a nice contrast to the dreariness of London.

Oh, that would make for the most adorable family vacation.

[ Shoulders raised, her eyes are nearly sparkling. ]

I'm just imagining being on the beach, watching you take Rosalind into the water. We'll definitely need a camera by then, so I can take pictures of the entire thing!

[ And Grell better not think he won't be dragging her into the water, as well. ]

Oh, no, not really! I can't be seen in a swimsuit for at least the next fifty years, so I either make myself comfortable under an umbrella with a book, or make myself useful.

[ Closing her eyes, she chuckles. ]

Now, let's see... What haven't I rambled to you about? [ And then, she lights up! ] Holidays. I've never celebrated them proper and always thought it would be a bit fun to do it right, what, with the themed meals and overdecorating...

[ William shakes his head. ]

America has quite a few holidays of their own to celebrate, as well. Plus I'm certain their traditions differ from our own, a bit.

[ There isn't a swimsuit around that would conceal her masculine proportions and tone, but William's optimism is commendable. Such is a conversation for another time; for now, she merely sighs, idly drawing her fingers along his. ]

Then we'll adopt those, as well! Any reason to celebrate life for our darling little girl.

This first year already sounds exhausting.

[ Though he doesn't sound particularly bothered by that. Instead he takes another sip of his drink while looking around at the other passengers that litter the deck. ]

[ Grell could be finishing her drink off as well, but that would require her to let go of William's hand! For now, she's quite content as is.

He isn't the only one looking across the deck, either. Rosalind has taken to watching some older children playing hopscotch. ]

Just as well. I don't think we're much accustomed to relaxing these days.

[ Sitting in the quiet like this would have left her bored already, had he not sent her heart racing. It still hasn't quite settled! ]

To be honest, I've been expecting us to become a tad stir crazy, confining ourselves to the ship.
