[ If Grell had expected William to be oblivious to her activities, she was sorely mistaken. He'd come from his office multiple times that day, looking to have a word with her about proper office behaviour, timely submission of forms, and the coffee carafe from the break room, that she'd happily emptied but failed to refill. Each time, he'd been met with an empty desk, even though he'd seen her minutes before. And when questioned, Knox just brushed him off like it was no big deal - he'd finished his own work for the day and wasn't staying overtime, big plans for the evening and all that.

So, the next time William caught a glance of bright red slinking past the frosted windows of his office, he made an executive decision - quickly teleporting himself in the doorway of the office, appearing just before she attempted to leave... ]

And where are you sneaking off to this time?

[ Of course, Grell appreciates that bit of view she catches in the reflection. Lips quirking into a smile, she hums with agreement.

Although she fully intended to assist William, his compliment may overexcite her enough that she slings her arms about his neck first! All smiles, she giggles. ]

Ah, no offense taken, really. I wasn't so sure, myself.

[ But it's only moment before she pulls back, hands slipping down the length of his tie before they begin to secure it in place. ]

Being passable had never been an intention of mine, you know?

[death_glare]

I wouldn't have expected you to hold back.

[ He becomes quiet as Grell works on his tie. Enjoying the simple moment, perhaps. Finally he speaks up. ]

I do like seeing your hair up. Though, I have little idea as to how you managed it.

[ Like, where did she tuck it all? You would never think knee length hair would flow down if you were to start plucking pins out of it. It's then that a random thought pops into his mind. ]

Was it always such a vibrant red?

[ It's so otherworldly on it's own. He wouldn't be surprised if it changed when she'd entered the reaper realm. ]

[ Was she holding back? That's something that leaves the redhead humming thoughtfully, as she smooths her fingertips over his finished tie. It won't stay on her mind for long, however; receiving so much positive attention from Will lately has her a bit flustered, in the best way.

Fingertips playing with the ends of her curled fringe, she bats her eyes up at him shamelessly. ]

Mn, it has, yes! I'd once been rather embarrassed by it - can you imagine? [ She raises her chin proudly! ] It's my favorite thing about myself, now.

No. I cannot imagine you ever being embarrassed, even in the slightest.

[ Confidence is certainly attractive, though. He thinks on that briefly before shooing the thought away. ]

Are we ready then? And have you decided what you would like to see first?

[ That earns some fond laughter from the redhead! To his question, she nods - turning on heel toward their bed, where Rosalind has the ruffles of her skirt in her mouth. Hands on her knees, Grell just coos at the sight of her. ]

Yes, I'm most excited to see some food set before me, at present!

[ And scooping the baby up into her arms, she'll be rejoining William's side! ]

Simple enough.

[ And here they go with their grand performance. William holds the door, allowing Grell to exit the room, then offers her his arm, should she care to take it. They pass quite a few employees, as well as other passengers while making their way to the dining halls. Yet none seem to bat an eye at the couple. Perhaps this will all go smoothly! ]

[ What a wonderful feeling it is, to be on William's arm, and have their child at her hip. Radiating such happiness, she'll return any passing nods with a gracious dip of the chin. The true challenge, however, is keeping herself from speaking! She's become far too accustomed to amusing herself by filling the silence - but, in a way, perhaps it allows her to take in and appreciate their surroundings.

Once seated in the dining hall, she settles Rosalind into her high chair, and takes a seat beside William, nodding in thanks to their waiter. She clasps her hands upon being offered a menu, near wiggling in her seat as she accepts it. She is FAMISHED. ]

[ It's a fairly elaborate menu and William flips the pages back and forth, obviously indecisive. He peers over at where Grell seems to be reading, then turns to the same page. ]

You're going to have to show me which item you're interested in so I can tell the waiter for you.

[untodeath]

[ Taking a quick glance around to see if anyone is near first, she then raises her menu to conceal her lips. ]

Everything sounds so good right now. What are you planning on?

[ The baby is back to smacking at her table! Grell reaches out to take one of her little hands for a playful little shake, hoping to distract he rout of it. ]

I can't seem to decide for myself. You tend to enjoy pasta, yes?

[ Doesn't help that all of the pasta choices sound delicious! ]

If there are two you're interested in, we could both get one.

Oh my God, they have pasta for breakfast?

[ Grell quietly hisses in sheer excitement, flipping forward to see them for herself. Cupping a hand over her cheek, she's about to express what a sweet offer that is-- but when a waiter passes, she must settle for resting a hand at his wrist, instead! ]

[ William flips the menu over in his hand, a doubtful furrow to his brow. ]

That is odd. Though, with the price we paid for these tickets they better have such a broad selection. Honestly.

[ Apparently he wasn't pleased with the deal he'd gotten, and he makes no attempt to hush his comment when the waiter approaches. The man just gives him an awkward look, which William ignores. ]

Two coffees, please. And, are you certain we were given the correct menus? My... wife [ He has to pause cause it's just so odd to say. ] would be delighted to have pasta for breakfast, but I highly doubt that's available at such an early hour.

[ Grell has to avoid touching her lipstick while she resists snickering. Pressing her lips together will have to suffice, instead. Although, her expression pulls into a rather pointed look only moments after, at William's hesitation.

Hands folded at her chest, the redhead looks to the waiter hopefully! And, while she can't speak, Rosalind babbles at the waiter for the both of them.

"May I?" The waiter inquires, gesturing at one of the menus, to which Grell give him hers. Surely enough, the waiter sighs. "I sincerely apologize. Please allow me to fetch you the proper menus while you wait for your refreshments." ]

I assumed as much.

[ With the naturally cold tone William speaks in, the waiter's nearly positive he's going to get a complaint filed against him. Lucky for him, William's not quite as irritated as he sounds - this narrows their choices down substantially. He may be able to choose something. ]

We can have pasta this evening, then.

[untodeath]

[ Shoulders falling with a silent sigh, Grell rests a hand against her chest with a relenting nod. She had been very excited about that pasta, but it would be something to look forward to.

One they've got the proper menus and their coffee, she can amuse herself with blowing the steam off her cup while she looks over their options for the second time. Before the waiter excuses himself, she sits upright and cranes toward him, to catch his attention. Tapping at the fruit cup appetizer, she looks to William for his explanation. ]

[ William glances to where Grell is indicating on her menu. ]

She would like a fruit cup. And if you have any applesauce, that would be good, as well.

[ May as well get Rosalind started on some soft fruits instead of just formula. Once the waiter's gone off, William resumes looking at the selection of meals with pancakes. Strawberry sounds quite nice. Though, so does chocolate. Perhaps they will do half and half. ]

[ Patting the back of William's hand, she'll lean in to whisper as soon as the waiter is out of range. ]

Good idea. [ And in being so close, she catches a glimpse of what he's browsing over. She can't help but chuckle! ] Ah, chocolate chip pancakes. It's almost as though they knew you'd be here.

What is wrong with enjoying chocolate?

[ He feels he must defend his tastes from Grell's teasing! And now that's definitely what he's ordering, so he closes his menu, setting it aside. It's then that he looks down to where Grell's hand still rests upon his. ]

You really are relishing this moment, aren't you?

[untodeath]

Now, I never said that there is anything wrong with it.

[ And if Grell's hand over his was indication enough, the way that she looks upon him with absolute adoration might be the nail in the coffin, as it were! ]

--Ah, but of course I am. In the matter of a week, it seems that my dreams have all begun to manifest! [ She cants her head. ] Aren't you happy? Just the slightest bit.

[death_glare]

[ William looks from Grell's eyes over to Rosalind, then back again. He's quiet for a bit, perhaps thinking of how to phrase this. ]

It is an odd sort of happiness. Bittersweet, perhaps.

That's not precisely what she wanted to hear. In light of everything else, she's been pushing aside the knowledge that William had previously had a family - memories for which she now realizes that they must always compare to.

Sitting upright, Grell pulls her hand back to rest beneath her chin. Shoulders rising with a breath, she smiles. ]

Well. It's a start.

[ Eyes falling to her menu, she intends to steer the conversation to something more reasonable, before she raises her voice and blows their cover less than a day in! ]

What do you think about sharing an omelette?

[ He's well aware that it's not what she was hoping to hear from him, but it's not like him to say something simply to appease them. If they are going to take on this new life together, then they have to accept each other fully. It's something they will both need to work on.

To keep the mood light and not dwell on memories, William lets Grell shift the subject back to breakfast. At least until she's speaking way too loud, and then he very 'subtly' kicks her under the table. Apparently he'll reprimand her for her slip up but act just an inappropriately. Also, his tone as he responds is highly rude to speak to one's wife with! ]

As long as I have my pancakes, then I am fine with that.

[ Not aware what she'd done, the kick comes as an utter surprise! Jaw clenching, she presses her coiled fingers against her mouth to keep herself from yelping - or very possibly groaning!

Pointedly picking up her menu to hide her blush away from prying eyes - just because it seems like the ladylike thing to do - she shoots him a sidelong leer to match her huffy pout. ]

[ Completely ignoring that pout, William flips to the page of omelette options to look them over. ]

Did you have one you fancied over the others?

[ With a deep steadying breath - that really comes off more as an indignant sniff - Grell sits herself upright. Not unlike a dignified woman!! ]

Cheese. With bacon and spinach.

[ She mutters. Agai, POINTEDLY. ]
