[ If Grell had expected William to be oblivious to her activities, she was sorely mistaken. He'd come from his office multiple times that day, looking to have a word with her about proper office behaviour, timely submission of forms, and the coffee carafe from the break room, that she'd happily emptied but failed to refill. Each time, he'd been met with an empty desk, even though he'd seen her minutes before. And when questioned, Knox just brushed him off like it was no big deal - he'd finished his own work for the day and wasn't staying overtime, big plans for the evening and all that.

So, the next time William caught a glance of bright red slinking past the frosted windows of his office, he made an executive decision - quickly teleporting himself in the doorway of the office, appearing just before she attempted to leave... ]

[ A true tragedy. She's missed all the fun and is left with the hard questions. Especially as Will has decided to reach for the most expensive one-- albeit understandable, with how flashy its faceted glass jar and shiny lid is. ]

Ah... Enough that I know they're to be enjoyed while I still have them. [ She admits with a defeated sigh. ] The things we do for love...

[ He replaces the jar, pleased to hear that she's willing to sacrifice luxuries for the girl. ]

I highly doubt you need much of this, anyway. I'm certain you'll manage.

[ She peeks up at him with her pouty little frown, uncertain what to make of that. Was he saying that the products were useless, or actually giving her something of a compliment? Blinking, she hums. ]

Well, I suppose we'll see!

[ With a gentle clearing of the throat, she twirls her hair up into a top bun. ]

Now then, it's my turn at the sink!

[ She will need to wash her face and squeeze in a discreet shave before she gets to that skin care routine of hers. ]

Fine. I am going to attempt to get in bed without waking her.

[ From the amount that was spread out across the vanity, he's certain she'll be in there quite some time. May as well let her know he'll probably have fallen asleep by then. ]

[ Standing to face him, amusement plucks at her lips. ]

You say that as though you wanted something of me. Would you prefer to keep me company?

I assumed you would be heading to bed, as well.

[ He looks down to where Rosalind is snoozing on the mattress. He's quite tired, himself. ]

Are you going to be long? I will stay up with you if the answer is 'no'.

[ Beaming, Grell shakes her head! ]

Trust me, taking makeup off doesn't nearly take as long as it does to put on.

[ Picking up a small cosmetics bag and a few choice items, she takes William's hand to lead him to the vanity's seat. ]

Five minutes, at most.

[ Trouble with this is, while the vanity's seat is nicely cushioned, it is most certainly only intended for one person. William hovers just above where Grell attempted to plop him down in the chair, bracing himself against the plush arms of the stool. ]

You are not sitting in my lap.

[ Grell is positively baffled by this - until he explains himself that is, at which point the amusement in her features turns painfully wry! ]

Well, I thought you might like to get comfortable while I excuse myself to wash my face in the lavatory. Would you care to join me, instead?

[death_glare]

[ With a suspicious glare, William slowly allows himself to sit. ]

I will stay here. Go and get on with it, then.

[ Affectionately dashing her fingers through his damp hair, she makes her way for the bathroom! As promised, she isn't long. Washing her face is an easy affair, and dashing a thin razor over her skin as a precautionary measure doesn't take much more.

By the time she's emerged, she's rubbing a hand over her freshly cleansed skin with a satisfied sigh. Leaning over beside William, she swaps out her cosmetics bag for her nightly skincare routine. First up, a rose water, which she delicately pats over her face. ]

Here, let me have your hand. You can try some!

[ He's hesitant to giver her his hand, unsure of what is she just put on. ]

I already washed up for the evening.

[untodeath]

[ She chuckles, holding out with a insistent wave. ]

Soap can be harsh, so this just balances your skin!

[death_glare]

[ Positive she won't give up until he gives in, he sighs and holds his hand out. Get this over with and he can finally sleep. ]

Fine.

[ Success! Sprinkling some into his palm, Grell is just grinning! ]

Now, just lightly pat over the skin! Don't get too close to your eyes, mind.

[ Next up is a a smaller jar, of which she scoops the smallest amount. This is something that she rubs between her fingers and taps beneath her eyes. ]

This might feel like a bit much for you, but I think you'd enjoy the feel of a serum. [ And now that she's said as much, she's a bit too excited to swap her cream out for said serum, packaged in a dropper bottle! ]

[ Frowning, he looks down to where the water rests in his hand, then up to where Grell's demonstrating. Reluctantly he pats the rose water against his skin, not in nearly a delicate manner as Grell had. Hey, at least the stuff smells nice. ]

That isn't a very appealing word to use for whatever this stuff is. Sounds as if I've fallen ill and was prescribed it.

[ She chuckles. If William will allow it, she'll place just a few drops over his fingertips. ]

I don't know why it's called such a thing, but they might as well be considered medicinal. Magical things, they are.

[ Depositing the same amount for herself, she rubs the fingertips of both hands together, before sweeping over the skin - again, avoiding the eyes. ]

Our skin always repairs itself, anyway, but I've found that providing the right hydration keeps it consistent! No matter how lousy our shifts were.

[ He mimics her again, getting a bit more used to how these products are meant to be applied. Grell's comments get him to sigh, though. ]

It really is odd to think that I no longer have to go into the office.

[ Glancing to William through his reflection, Grell smiles. ]

That's right. You can do whatever you'd like, now.

[ Time for the moisturizer, at last! She scoops out a dallop, turning to guide William's chin towards her - and if he allows, she'll tap it to the high points of his face before massaging into the skin. ]

I recall you starting a list, actually. What had you decided on?

[ William's cut off by Grell suddenly massaging something into his cheeks. He flinches, making quite the confused face. It takes him a moment to just accept that this is happening before he finally continues his thought. ]

I am not sure yet. Nothing I've come up with really appeals to me.

[ Laughing beneath her breath, Grell knows that moving the product down to his neck is only going to prove more entertaining! ]

Oh? What did you do before? Was it the accounting?

[death_glare]

Yes.

[ That causes him to scrunch his shoulders up. ]

Honestly, does that cream really need to be on my neck? I wear a high collar shirt. No one sees my neck.

That explains a few things.

[ Oh, she must bite at her lip to keep herself from laughing aloud at his reactions! ]

Yes, darling. The fact that people can't see it doesn't mean that it isn't there. If you use a razor here, you really should moisturize.

[ Well, he supposes that makes sense. The skin does get rather rough. But that first comment makes him keep his frown. ]

[ All done. Grell lovingly cups his cheeks. ]
