[ If Grell had expected William to be oblivious to her activities, she was sorely mistaken. He'd come from his office multiple times that day, looking to have a word with her about proper office behaviour, timely submission of forms, and the coffee carafe from the break room, that she'd happily emptied but failed to refill. Each time, he'd been met with an empty desk, even though he'd seen her minutes before. And when questioned, Knox just brushed him off like it was no big deal - he'd finished his own work for the day and wasn't staying overtime, big plans for the evening and all that.

So, the next time William caught a glance of bright red slinking past the frosted windows of his office, he made an executive decision - quickly teleporting himself in the doorway of the office, appearing just before she attempted to leave... ]

[ Grell leans away enough that she can properly whip her head and give the other an affronted look. ]

Are you implying that I would want to be intimate with our daughter in the room, Will?

[ With a hard sniff, she straightens the newspaper out in her hands. ]

In any case, they're unlikely to have cribs, I imagine, so that might just be what we'll have to do.

I would not have put it past you to do so. But if that is truly something you're opposed to, then I will look forward to getting a few years of peace.

[ William's eyes scan along the page she's opened to, but has little luck spotting the information they need. ]

If it's unavoidable, then I will do so for her sake.

[ Grell puffs her cheeks with frustration, pointedly turning to the next-- and mid-squeak, has to clamp a hand over her mouth. She found it.

Smoothing the pages open across the table, she leans forward with her elbows atop her knees. ]

Alright, let's see... It seems they've got a destination running to New York every few days, mn? What's the soonest you think we could manage?

That solely depends on how quickly you can gather your possessions. I have a late shift tonight, though, I suppose I could call out to watch Rosalind while you pack.

[ William calling out would probably cause suspicion, but he has enough time accrued, he should be allowed to take it without questioning! ]

I can purchase tickets for the next voyage before then. That would give us two days.

[ Grell also hesitates while considering this. It certainly might raise a few eyebrows, but if William feels it would be fine, she won't question it. ]

Mn, that would be perfect really. If I focus on packing through tomorrow, then I'd only have to worry about acquiring enough to hold Rosalind over until we settle down overseas... That much I can cover.

That's settled, then.

[ William settles back into the couch, visibly more relaxed than normal, or than anyone with a plan of running away from their current life should be. He sighs, glancing over to the crib. ]

Honestly, I won't miss London.

Ah, London.

[ Quietly as she may, Grell tears out the section containing the fare information to set aside. The rest she'll use for packing, if need be. ]

Yes, the few good memories it holds should easily be outweighed by the adventures ahead. It's quite exciting, really.

[ Peeking over her shoulder, she gives William a grin. ]

I've never felt so alive.

I can at least hope that the future holds better memories.

Able to pull things together in time, William and Grell arrive at the port with their new daughter. With such a short amount of time to acquire tickets, William was forced to pay a bit more than he'd have liked to for a room with the accommodations they were looking for. Not that Grell would complain about the fancier room or their baggage being delivered to the door!

Though the moment they arrive at their cabin, William glowers at the single bed. It's not quite as large as the lady working the ticket counter described, but there's not much he can do about that. ]

[ Oh, Grell is positively elated about the entire scenario! While William is busy glowering, she's just crooning over how lovely their room is. ]

Oooh, look, Rosalind! What a spoiled little lady you've become!

[ Hoisting her up at arm's length, the redhead twirls her around, before flopping them both back onto the bed! Laughing, she cuddles the child close. ]

It's perfect, Will♥.

[ Rosalind giggles loudly at being whisked through the air. And once settled upon Grell's chest on the bed, sets about exploring the buttons lining the front of her coat. ]

It is a bit small.

[ Speaking mainly of the bed, but he tries not to let that one issue ruin this new lifestyle change for them already and merely gives a short huff. Coat hung up and luggage all set away, William approaches the bed, hand shifting to his face to adjust his frames. Only to be quickly reminded that they are no longer there. ]

Ah, this will take some getting used to again.

[ Fingers petting through the soft down of the girl's hair, Grell tilts her head back to witness William do just that. She can't help but chuckle. ]

I'll say. I never noticed how much your glasses had overshadowed your cheekbones! Why, I think I'm in love all over again!

[ Resting the back of a palm over her forehead, she teasingly swoons! ]

[ William gives her a look that states just how unamused he is by her dramatics. ]

If only our eyes would return to their natural color. It would help us blend in.

Mn, very much so. I don't think I'd be keen on wearing a heavy fringe.

[ She pulls her bangs over her eyes briefly, as Undertaker had worn them. ]

Perhaps some frames with faux lenses would help?

I am not growing my hair out long.

[ He makes a face at her display. ]

And neither should you. It doesn't suit you.

[ That last suggestion intrigues him slightly. ]

Is that something that's available?

[ Giggling, she fluffs her bangs back into place. It's something she'll take as a compliment, not having to hide her face away! ]

Oh, absolutely! There's a market for it, considering actors and the like. They're easier to find than you'd expect! Frames are put on display with non-prescription glass, for example.

[ He hums. ]

Not something I would have thought of, personally. Though, that is not at the top of our priorities. And we shouldn't go making frivolous purchases.

[ Meaning makeup, clothes for themselves, home decor. He feels he should draw that boundary now before Grell becomes lost in the fashion trends of New York City. ]

[ Grell senses that might be what he's getting at! With a huff, her lips pucker off to the side, eyes closed. ]

I would say that is a precautionary measure, not frivolous.

[ Plucking Rosalind up off her chest, she moves to sit upright. She allows the child to get a feel for the bed, instead. ]

Glasses tend to get in the way of my eye makeup, in any case. I'll look cuter without them!

It will be odd seeing us without them all the time.

[ Though it does make him take note of her eye makeup, perhaps for the first time. He'd never noticed just how intricately done it was. No wonder she was in the bathroom for ages before they left!

Watching Rosalind, William takes a seat on the bed beside Grell. She really doesn't look much like either of them and he absently wonders if that was cause issue. ]

What do you suggest we do for housing?

[ With a tilt of her head, Grell's eyes fall to Rosalind as well. ]

Mm, well. I imagine it might be easier to find a flat, until jobs have been found and established. In a few years, someplace just outside the city would be preferable, though; a place with a yard for her to play in.

[ Now that William's sat down with the baby, she'll take this time to remove her coat, setting about to hang it up in the closet. Her shoes will follow - and, apparently on a roll, she feels compelled to begin on their suitcases! ]

Until then, I think she'll be content! Our little dear must learn to crawl, first.

It will be expensive in the city, but it will have far more choices available.

[ A yard sounds nice though. Still, quite a few years in the future.

Scooping Rosalind up by her armpits, William moves her to the carpeted floor, placing her on her hands and knees. He then takes a seat on the floor a few feet in front of her. As he motions for her to come towards him, she stares for a moment, unsure of this new positioning, before slipping onto her side. ]

[ Pausing to watch them, Grell watches with great anticipation as Rosalind balances on her limbs! There's a split second of dread in her eyes while the girl topples, but the baby's obviously fine! Hand cupped over her mouth, the redhead gives a pitied little laugh. ]

Well, I shan't be too picky on location, so long as it has a nice market I can walk Rosalind to, I suppose!

[ Speaking of... does that mean she'll need to learn how to cook? Dear Lord, help them. ]

We will need to book a few nights at a hotel. That will allow us to explore the city and see where the best location for us will be.

[ He rights Rosalind again, who stays up a bit longer this time. ]

She will get it, eventually.

Mn, good idea.

[ Grell can't help but merely crouch down where she is, cheek smooshed into an open palm. It's true love in her eyes. ]

You know, it's a tragedy that we didn't invest in a camera before we left.

We will be there some time, I hope. We can invest in one, eventually. Perhaps at Christmas.

[ That gets him thinking, though. ]

We don't even know her birthday, do we?

[ Christmas gifts would have her swooning - but William's question stops her just short. Face in her hands, she's left blinking contemplatively. ]

No, but from what I'd seen of her mother's Cinematic, I'd guess she was born late spring... I suppose a vague idea is better than none.
